12:00 p.m. - Leo Lopez
W.T. Bland Public Library, 1995 N. Donnelly St.
Leo Lopez Leo Lopez is an extremely talented guitarist, born on the Caribbean coastal town of Ponce, Puerto Rico. In his small community of Belgica the musical style of Bomba y Plena was born. From his childhood room he listened to the musicians in the streets jam until the wee hours of the morning. At the age of three his mother bought him his first guitar and he was hooked. His formal training started at the age of eight in the public school system and continued with private lessons until he was one of the chosen few to study in the arts academy in his town. Nici Haerter Nici Haerter is an accomplished harpist with over 25 years performance experience. Digital sales of her solo CD " Harp For All Ages" spans five continents and counting. As a soloist, Nici performs regularly throughout Central Florida at corporate functions, special events, elegant weddings, and at skilled care facilities in the "Healing Harp," where she also plays with a portable, strolling/therapy harp for a more interactive and personal approach. Eirinn Abu Eirinn Abú realizes the power and importance of music in a person's life and as a result he wants his music to always speak to a person's soul even more than just creating something that simply sounds good.  This is why when Eirinn is creating his music, if it does not move him personally as he writes and plays a new piece then he continues to work with the piece immersing himself in the "soul" of the music until he is personally, deeply moved by the music. Bruce in the USA Bruce In The USA is much more than just another tribute act -- this high-energy musical experience is a note-perfect, visually accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E- Street Band. Matt Ryan began portraying 'The Boss' in the cast of the full-scale celebrity tribute Las Vegas spectacular 'Legends In Concert'. With eight years of performance experience, Lucas has become an accomplished guitarist and instructor on acoustic and electric guitar, as well electric bass guitar. His workshop will explore techniques such as classical and percussive finger picking, 'raking' with a pick, and various strumming styles, as well as left hand techniques to create different feels and tones for a new sound. The Simple CavemenA Central Florida porch band devoted to three chords and the truth, The Simple Cavemen are familiar to Lake County music fans from regular appearances at the Yalaha Bakery. For a decade, these Cavemen have been evolving from suburban patio dwellers into sophisticated beings skilled at striking stringed instruments and drums. Here is their story, recently found scrawled in primitive handwriting on the bathroom walls at a Central Florida Waffle House. Read More »

Laurent Boukobza Born in Villemomble, France, Laurent Boukobza entered the world of music at the age of 10 when he began studying with Catherine Collard at the Paris Conservatory where after graduation he worked as an Assistant Piano Instructor. Laurent is the recipient of the First Prize of Piano and Chamber Music from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. He has also studied with the respected Germaine Mounier, Yvonne Loriod and Michel Beroff. His background also encompasses Chamber Music studies with Jean-Claude Pennetier, Christian Ivaldi, and the "Amadeus Quartet". Read More »
